The main tasks for the match manager are
- Arrive at the ground at least an hour before the start to open the gates and unlock the club house.
- Oversee the laying out of tables & chairs for spectators.
- Unlock the scoreboard
- Oversee the laying out of the boundary rope and putting out the stumps.
- Setting out umpires coats fully loaded with bails and counters
- Supervising the clearance of tea and stacking and operation of dishwashers
- Supervising the bringing in of boundary rope
- In the absence of the treasurer, ensuring that match fees are collected and documented
- Ensuring that the scorebook is completed and the details are communicated to the Chairman and Webmaster
- Hoovering the floor post drinks
- Turning out lights, locking up club house and closing and locking gates.
